Part # Z32 -- $2.35/foot -- Braided Stranded Bare Copper
Conductor Cable.  Class One UL Approved.  Configured in a Basket Weave.  Approx 1/2” dia. Weight -- 217 lbs per 1000 feet.
Available in 500 foot spools or less. Not sold in odd footage  i.e. 137 feet. Sold in increments of 5 feet such as 235 or 240.

Aluminum Conductor Cable

Part # Z24 -- $1.45/foot -- Braided Stranded Bare Aluminum
Conductor Cable.
Class One UL Approved.  Configured in a Basket Weave.  Approx 9/16” dia. Weight -- 102 lbs per 1000 feet.
Available in 500 foot spools or less. Not sold in odd footage  i.e. 137 feet. Sold in increments of 5 feet such as 235 or 240.

Note:  If you are using aluminum cable, all components must be aluminum until you get to your grounding location.  Then you must use a Bimetal connector and transition to at least 5 feet of copper cable per ground location. Grounding must be 2 feet away from the structure, connection between copper and aluminum must be made 12” to 16”  above grade and the connection on the copper cable and ground rod or plate must be made 2 feet below grade.  A ground plate must be buried flat at least 2 feet below grade or if using a ground rod, the top must be buried two feet below grade regardless of the length of the ground rod.  Minimum specs for ground rods are at least 1/2” dia. x 8’ long.  Using a ten foot ground rod will not cure the dilemma of not having to buty the top of the ground rod 2 feet below grade.

Cable Loop Fasteners

Part  #Z83 -- $0.30 each.  Copper loop style cable fastener requiring one nail or stainless steel screw.  Use one for every 3 feet of cable run.  Take your estimated footage of cable and divide b 3 to get your quantity.

Part  #Z125 -- $0.20 each.  Stainless Steel Screws Number 10 Pan Head Phillips One inch long

Part  #Z84 -- $0.19 each.  Copper Nails 2 inches long
